The EWGA is THE Golf Community for Women. As the largest women-focused national amateur golf association in the United States with chapters in nearly every U.S. major market and corporate center, the EWGA has connected more than 100,000 women who share a passion for cultivating relationships and enjoying the game. The Chicago Metro Chapter of the EWGA has been in existence since 1994, and is growing strong! We have over 300 members; offer 25+ leagues in Chicagoland and NW Indiana, a full complement of weekend golf events, fun and competitive golf and more! Our player development program includes clinics, lessons, and events geared specifically to the new golfer. We even organize both social and golf activities during the winter months for all levels.

If you are interested in learning more about EWGA; come join us at our Annual Spring Kick-off Breakfast scheduled for Saturday March 21st at Fountain Blue in Des Plaines. Over 200 members and guests will be getting together to network, welcome new members, visit sponsor and vendors, register for leagues and learn what is in store for the 2015 golf season. There are also some great prizes to be won! Visit our website to register for this event.

Membership in the EWGA provides access to more than playing golf. Benefits include access to affordable, fun, organized golf opportunities, travel and equipment discounts, volunteer opportunities, local and national benefits while at the same time building a personal network of great connections and business relationships. In addition, all EWGA members can compete in several national tournaments and play at golf courses across the U.S. at special EWGA pricing. The discounts alone can offset the cost of membership, and when you factor in the intangibles then an EWGA membership truly is a great value.

I have been playing golf for 15 years and a member of the EWGA for 11 years. While my primary reason for joining EWGA was to expand my network of golfing buddies, there was an added bonus in that it helped my career. I come from an industry where golf is important in networking and developing business relationships. Golfing regularly, having an established USGA handicap index and playing a little competitive golf helped to increase my confidence level on the golf course. My colleagues started to take me more seriously and invited me to participate in customer golf outings when they learned about my involvement with the EWGA. This improved my relationships with both my colleagues and my customers.

I continue to renew my membership with EWGA because it’s fun and because of the ladies that I am now blessed to call friends. I have many happy memories of time spent with my EWGA buddies ranging from birdie shots to a golf trip in Scotland, and look forward to creating new memories.
