2013 Encompass Championship Debuts in Chicago
Champions Tour Golf returns with an exciting new format, attracting many of the world’s most recognized names in professional golf!
The Encompass Championship marks the return of Champions Tour Golf to the Chicago area on June 17-23, 2013.
This tournament will introduce an exciting new format to Glenview’s North Shore Country Club and the Chicago area with five days of Pro-Am action along with three days of Champions Tour competition on June 17-23.
Jeff Sluman
The tournament will attract some of the most recognized names in golf, including World Golf Hall of Fame members Ben Crenshaw, Hale Irwin, Tom Kite, Bernhard Langer, Nick Price and Tom Watson.
Rocco Mediate
Ryder Cup co-captain Jeff Sluman and Chip Beck, who both live in the Chicago area, are also expected to compete along with Fred Couples, John Cook, Fred Funk, Jay Haas, Tom Lehman, Corey Pavin and Kenny Perry.
By tournament time, major champions Vijay Singh and Steve Elkington, as well as fan favorite Rocco Mediate, will be eligible to compete on the Champions Tour.
